When players are traded or leave in free agency, usually all of the hype, attention and focus are on the Superstar and the new team he is headed to. We tend to forget about the team he leaves behind, and the players that need to step up in his open Superstar role. Here are 5 players to keep an eye on during your NBA Fantasy Draft that could excel this season:

Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers – Turner has stepped up big the past 2 seasons, and with George in OKC, the Pacers are now his team. He should see an increase in scoring and rebounds.

Austin Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers – With CP3 now in Houston, the coach’s son gets his chance to shine. While Paul was out last year, Austin really stepped his game up. He should take a giant leap this season.

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz – This is a tough one, because Gobert is already a great player. Now he is the team’s #1 option with Hayward in Boston, which will lead to more scoring opportunities.

Nikola Mirotic, Chicago Bulls – Mirotic is always a streaky fantasy player, but with more playing time, he could turn into an every week starter for your team.

Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets – Murray had a great 2nd half of last season, and with Danilo Gallinari now in LA, this should clear the path for him to be a starter for the Nuggets, and your fantasy team.
